Entropic Accents is a family run business installing exterior lightscapes across the United States, with offices in Florida and North Carolina. We have over 30 years of industry experience and have completed over 450 custom lighting jobs. Randy personally meets with each client before the lighting design process begins and is there each step of the way to make sure all expectations are met. Randy Smith, Owner and Founder
Randy was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the youngest of four boys. After graduating with a BS in Material Science from Wright State University in Ohio, Randy went on to obtain his Ph.D. in Material Science and Engineering from The University of Florida. While in school, Randy started his own landscaping business, which he has successfully run for the past 30 years in Gainesville, Florida. His love of beautifying the exterior of homes led Randy to invest his energy and time in the lighting business, in order to add even more value and luster to the homes he had already landscaped. Now, with ten years of lighting design experience and hundreds of houses, commercial buildings and entryways beautifully lit, Randy enjoys seeing his base of appreciative and satisfied customers grow, all while doing a job that he loves. His work has spread all over the southeast and as far west as Arizona! His work has been featured on the cover of several lighting design magazines, in Robb Report magazine and on Extreme Makeover Home Edition.
In his spare time, Randy enjoys traveling, golfing and spending time with his wife, his four children and his beloved chocolate lab, Cali. He has a knack for being sarcastic and will accept any wager or challenge on the golf course!
Brittany Smith Lindberg, Operations & Business Development
Brittany was born and raised in Gainesville, Florida, where she grew up working for her dad who owned a very successful landscaping business. Around the age of 8, she realized Saturdays spent weeding and fertilizing were not for her, so she devoted her time to the game of soccer, which brought her to the Queens University of Charlotte, where she was a 4 year member of the women’s soccer team. Upon graduating Summa Cum Laude with her BA in Business with a minor in Accounting from Queens, she returned to Gainesville where she received her MBA from the University of Florida and also became a Certified Public Accountant. Brittany has resided in Charlotte since 2001 and has grown to love the city and the architecture of the homes. She has worked in various finance and accounting roles within the public accounting and insurance industries and is excited to take on a new endeavor in the family business. She still enjoys kicking the soccer ball around, although on a less competitive level these days, and can be found traveling, spending time with her husband and dog, Cooper, or socializing with friends.
